Licensed Minister

Eileen Casey Gonzalez

Eileen was introduced to the Fellowship in 1988. She enjoys all what the Fellowship has to offer. Through the years her commitment to the organization has been direct result of the “Declaration of Principles” and the community which strive to live by them.

Being blessed with a healing touch, Eileen, was the operator of a successful foot care business for a number of years. During this time she was able to put to use some of the spiritual healing techniques she learned of the late Rev. Fred Cale, former Senior Minister with the SSF. During this time she derived much joy for having had the opportunity and blessing to serve those who enjoyed her services until she could no longer continue due to injuries from a car accident.

Through the years Eileen has enjoyed volunteering for the Spiritual Science Fellowship. Presently she is the webmaster for the SSF and is responsible for putting together the SSF Newsletter as well as promotional materials. In 2009 she completed her training as a Graphic Designer which she perused as a direct result of being given opportunity to find another career direction due to her connection with the SSF.

For many years Eileen has felt fortunate with her knowledge of spirits presence. It is in recent years she has begun to understand the deep connection she has with the spiritual world she since childhood. This has been brought forward through clearer understandings of childhood and life experiences while working with current teachers.

In 2004, Eileen visited Cuba, the birth place of her husband. During her Cuban visit, Eileen met the spiritual leader Angel, a shaman who had a profound effect on her. Through a series of life events which lead no room for doubt, she was led to take on the Afro Cuban religions as her own. In 2007, Angel, now Eileen’s Godfather, not only initiated her into the Afro Cuban traditions gifting her, her ceremonies, but he took her levels beyond in the initiate.

Angel now resides in the world of spirit. Before his departure in January 2010, Angel declared he was moving on to the spiritual world as he was continuing his mission to serve the creator. In one of the last communications Angel had with Eileen, he gave her his blessing with the work she pursued with the SSF and expressed his pride in her. Recently Angel visited Eileen making his presence known from the spirit world at one of the Sunday services in which she served on the platform.

It is no surprise that Eileen has a deep respect for other spiritual traditions and practices, combined with a healthy curiosity and deep desire to learn more about other religions' traditions. Her fascination is derived from the joy found in finding the similarities or truths that run through all religions, proof that we are all one.

During a visit to Halifax, Rev. Dr. Marilyn Rossner related: "the late Fred Cale had his eye on Eileen doing ministry work, many years ago." Today, Eileen sees the Fellowship at a vibrant and dynamic stage in its development. She states: "We're going places, contributing to our community and I am glad to be a participant."
